Wasn't the Beverly on War Memorial Drive? There was also a theater on either University or Sheridan and it was in that theater that I saw Gone With the Wind for the first time. I was 10 and it was this movie that launched me into a love for movies that exists to this day. I have to ...I just read the entire blog.. finally! I have to say, as far as I can recall, The Beverly was also where I saw my first movie. However, I believe it was Fatal Attraction, I was eight, and my mother had no clue I would be witnessing animal cruelty and a crazy woman (to this day I love Glenn Close and her look in that movie), my mother was in shock and we still joke about it today. Grease, E.T. and Close Encounters of the Third Kind are also fresh in my head for "my firsts" and the beginning of my love affair.
