He had very good comedy timing. I thoroughly enjoyed "Perfect Speicmen", "Four's a Crowd" and "Never Say Goodbye" where he had me laughing out loud with his Bogard impression. His passion for life could possibly explain his later love for opera, which at it's best is an expression of unbridled passion. A shame that he was his worst enemy. Many colleagues such as Greer Garson, Ida Lupino and Joan Blondell found him to be rather sensitive. He was such a handsome man and it was sad to see how his lifestyle destroyed him.
